Cafe Variome allows you to securely login using one of your existing social network accounts (such as Google or Yahoo!). This Social Sign-In feature is powered by Janrain, a user management platform for the social Web.

How does it work? As a first-time visitor you can by-pass traditional ways of registering which involve providing an email address and password to sign up. Instead, you can simply use an existing Google, or Yahoo! account and complete the registration flow in a couple of clicks. Your name and email address will be automatically populated in the Cafe Variome user details. Subsequent return visits to Cafe Variome are then incredibly simple. All it takes is one click to sign-in - gone are the days of typing in your username and password.

OpenID...

OpenID is also supported by Cafe Variome and is a secure way to log into many websites using a single username and password. OpenID can reduce the necessity of managing many usernames and passwords for many websites (read more).

How do I get an OpenID? Chances are you already have one: major online services such as Google, Yahoo, Facebook and many others provide OpenIDs for their users.
